HIKING THE LYCIAN WAY IN THE EAST SELF-GUIDED
The Lycian way from Fethiye to Antalya is considered as one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the world. On this trip, you will discover selected stages on the east coast of Lycia. Through the mountainous coastal landscape in the Olympos national park, you hike above the blue-green shining sea and arrive at beautiful swimming bays. They come through vast, mountainous landscapes and through dense forests, where the oriental strawberry tree grows. From the pass at Musa Daği you can enjoy a great view of the towering mountains. At the end of the trip, you will be enchanted by the coastline of Kekova with its countless bays, peninsulas, and islands.
During your hike, you will always meet impressive historical testimonies. Lycians, Greeks, Persians, and Romans also left their mark on the Byzantine era and the Ottoman Empire. The Lycian Mountain Trail takes you past impressive ruins of once flourishing cities of antiquity, now abandoned in the solitary wilderness. The conspicuous tombs of the Lycians are often scattered in the landscape.
